ASB Awareness Week |
||
|
Hello Resident Help us tackle antisocial behaviour in our communities - report it today Everyone deserves to feel safe where they live, work and spend their free time. Antisocial behaviour (ASB) can have a significant impact on individuals, families and whole neighbourhoods, but by reporting it, you can help us identify issues, support victims and act where it’s needed most. This week you’ll see more officers out working with partners to tackle ASB in your local area. Officers will be working in the community to find long-lasting solutions to ASB to help prevent the ASB of today becoming the ASB of tomorrow. Antisocial behaviour is any behaviour that causes harassment, alarm or distress to others. It can affect one person, a group of people or the wider community. There are three main types of antisocial behaviour: Personal ASB – when someone targets a specific individual or group. Nuisance ASB – behaviour that causes trouble, annoyance or suffering to a community. Environmental ASB – actions that negatively affect public spaces or buildings. Antisocial behaviour can take many forms, including: Vehicle nuisance or inappropriate vehicle use. Rowdy or inconsiderate behaviour. Nuisance neighbours. Littering or discarded drug paraphernalia. Animal-related issues. Trespassing. Nuisance calls. Street drinking. Activity linked to sex working. Excessive noise. Begging. Misuse of fireworks. Abandoned vehicles. If you’re experiencing or witnessing antisocial behaviour, please do not assume someone else will report it. Every report helps build a clearer picture of what’s happening in our communities and enables partners to respond effectively. How to report antisocial behaviour: Report online via your local police.
